When starting up a business or, in particular, setting up a new office, there are several factors that one wants to get right from the outset, which will make for a smooth and profitable arrangement going forward. One can gloss over a few elements of insignificance, but one really has to take the time to get a handful of core values right – and implement accordingly. While some of these can take higher priority to others, and might differ according to the environment or line of business you are pursuing, a lot of them remain true regardless of their angle or situation.

Appropriate medical training

While you don’t have to insist any of your employees pretty much get up to speed with the latest advancements in medical fields vast and varied, you’d be wise to have at least some of them up to date with what and where to apply first aid course Perth – and others – need entail. Have the right equipment

Once the training for first aid has taken place, you can’t just leave whoever is now equipped academically to potentially act in an emergency without the right tools at hand. Invest in a comprehensive bag of tools that can be used in an alarming situation. Bandages, plasters, slates and phone numbers need to be at the ready in the event of a bad scenario – so consider that, seriously. Imagine opening the case that is meant to have these things in them at a moment’s notice, only to see they were not replenished the last time they were needed. To that end, as you would replace the spare wheel in the trunk of your car, so must you be ready to replace the contents of your first aid kit that have run out or are running out.


You can’t have the right tools and equipment stored away, out of reach or difficult to get to in a relatively short period of time. Each and every person involved in the situation need to know where to go to for the tools, and they need to know they can get to them and use them quickly. Have them in easy sight, or out of sight but quickly accessible. Be very communicative, constantly, about where at home the kit can found in the event of an emergency. Make sure that not just one, two or three designated people know this. While they might be the ones called into action at the last minute, others need to be able to help by running to fetch the contents. Have it writing, in email or printed out and pinned to walls, for people to give themselves a bit of a refresher now and then to ensure they are up to date and in line with the topical nature of what is required then and there.
